Howard Parker

Howard Robert Parker, 74, of Indian Land, SC, passed away November 13, 2019 peacefully surrounded by his family.

Howard was born January 10, 1945 in Camden, NJ to the late Thomas and Elizabeth Parker. Also, preceded in death by siblings Thomas Jr., George and Anna.

In his early life Howard attended Milton Hershey School in Hershey, Pennsylvania where he adopted nicknames like “Howie” and “Sparky” and was known amongst his classmates for his hard work, athletic abilities, and his cool dance moves.

He would carry those talents to the latter part of his life as he cultivated a successful nearly 50-year banking career, became an avid golfer and lover of all Philadelphia sports, and effortlessly entertained a room with his smile, storytelling, and those dancing shoes.

Howard treated everyone around him with kindness and patience. He was an excellent life teacher to anyone willing to learn, and picked up the nickname “Coach” from his friends during his time playing adult softball. He was a loving and supportive father; he attended every sports practice, game, and tournament. He was a reliable husband and always quick to make Kass laugh. Howard was one of the best friends anyone could have; a kind-hearted soul and a fun friend to be around.

Howard is survived by his beloved wife of 37 years, Kathleen (Blaszkowski) Parker; their children Michael and Lauren; grandchildren Jordan and Carson; his first daughter Tracey and grandchildren Stefanie, Thomas and Ryan; and his four-legged friend, Hershey.
