Vanessa Frimpong ’22
Vanessa, who is from Whitehall, Pennsylvania, enrolled at MHS as a sixth-grader and has excelled in academic and career preparation. She has been involved in student leadership and community service and earned several honors.
Vanessa is president of the Class of 2022 and has been an active with the Student Government Association and the Hershey Project Planning Committee. In addition, she is a member of the varsity volleyball team and serves as a student ambassador with the MHS Admissions Office. In support of her career aspirations, she completed a Career and Technical Education internship at the MHS Supply Center.
In the area of community service, Vanessa has stepped up to support younger MHS students by volunteering for the Middle Division Christmas Activity Night and the Elementary Division Halloween activities.
She continues to hold herself to a high standard, and her efforts have been recognized with her induction into the National Honor Society and the National Technical Honor Society. She has also received an MHS Visionary Award, was named to the Distinguished Honor Roll, and was honored as a Rotary Student of the Month.
Her postsecondary plans include earning a bachelor’s degree in hospitality management with a minor in psychology. Eventually, she says she wants to own and manage a bakery. And, she hopes to return to her family’s home country, Ghana, to meet the rest of her family, dig into her roots, relearn her tribal language, and do community service.
