Former Employee Obituaries
Lou Aiello, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 24, 2015. Lou and his wife, Ruth, were houseparents from February 1993 through October 2014.
Oriana Battles, a retired MHS employee, passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2015. Oriana began employment with Milton Hershey School on January 9, 1978 and retired August 1, 1996. Oriana was a Houseparent.
James E. Buchmoyer, a retired MHS employee, died on Oct. 11. James was employed as an athletics assistant at the school.
Sara Cohen, a retired MHS employee, passed away on May 28. Sara was employed as a houseparent at the school from July 29, 1996 to Aug. 1, 2000.
Juan Cotto, passed away on Friday, August 28, 2015. Juan began employment with Milton Hershey School on August 28, 1985 and retired August 1, 1995. Juan worked in Agriculture, Farming.
Alfred “Al” S. Dugan, passed away on Monday, June 8. Al began his career at MHS on June 15, 1960, as an agricultural teacher. He later worked on the Agriculture Business Farm until he retired on Aug. 1, 1990.
John Gallo, a retired houseparent, of Palmyra, passed away February 29. He was retired as a houseparent from Milton Hershey School.
Simon L. Hoffer, Jr., 79, formerly of Hershey passed away Monday, May 9, 2016. He retired from Milton Hershey School with 40 years of service as a houseparent, farmer and maintenance staff.
Brenda Kline, of Lebanon, on April 21. Brenda began employment with MHS in 1983 and retired in 2000 as a houseparent.
Adam Light, of Palmyra, passed away on June 8, 2015. Adam began employment with Milton Hershey School on April 21, 1938 and retired June 1, 1998. Adam worked on the Agriculture Business as Shop Manager.
Newt Myers, passed away on April 25, 2015.
Dalphine Pavone, of Hershey, passed away in her home recently. She was a retired employee of the Milton Hershey School and an associate member of the Milton Hershey School Alumni Association.
Honorary Member & MHS Retiree August C. “Gus” Schilling, 92, of Palmyra, passed away May 31, 2015 at the home. August retired as a houseparent with 27 years of service from Milton Hershey School and was also an Honorary Alumnus.
Evelyn Marie Schmidlin Skinner, age 95, of East Hanover Township, PA died on Monday 15, 2014. She was the widow of L. Joseph Skinner. For fourteen years Evelyn and Joe were Milton Hershey house parents and maintained contact with numerous “boys” during their lives.
Agnes M. Souders, 93, of Palmyra, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 9. She taught for 38 years in Lebanon and Dauphin Counties, retiring from Milton Hershey School in 1986.
Clyde Stough, a retired MHS houseparent, died Oct. 22. Clyde began employment with Milton Hershey School on Aug. 21, 1968, and retired on Sept. 1, 1986.
Charles Miller Wolgemuth, of Palmyra,passed away January 25 at the Hershey Medical Center at the age of 103. Charles and Mary were house-parents at Milton Hershey School from 1936 to 1946 at Englewood. Charles retired as a Senior Vice President and board member of HERCO.
