William Roy Myers Sr., 78, Birdsboro, died Feb. 28, 2012 of natural causes at Wyomissing Nursing & Rehab, Reading. He was the husband of Margaret L. (Hohl) Myers. Born in West Reading, he was a son of the late Laverne W. Myers and the late Mary (Hamilton) Myers.

He was a wood pattern maker for the former Birdsboro Corp. and for Aluminum Alloys, Sinking Spring, retiring in 1998. He was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Birdsboro. He was U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict and a past council member for Birdsboro and a past Boy Scout leader.

Surviving along with his wife are 2 sons, William R. Myers, Jr., Robeson Twp., Berks Co., and Jeffrey Laverne Myers, Birdsboro; 1 brother, Wayne Myers, Kulptown; and 1 sister, Helen Seifrit, Birdsboro. There are also 5 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter.

Services will be at the convenience of the family. Interment in Birdsboro Cemetery.
