Travis E. McDaniel
Travis E. McDaniel, 90, of State College, died Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at his residence.
Born August 19, 1922 in Washington, D.C. he was a son of the late Travis Egbert and Ethel McDaniel.
On September 18, 1948, he married Ruth E. Hutchison, who preceded him in death in July 2005.
Mr. McDaniel honorably served our country in the Army during WWII, obtaining the rank of Major. He was employed as a Controller for Coulter Electronics. Travis attended St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in State College.
He is survived by three daughters, Jennifer M. Rowland, Bonnie Deem (Ray), and Laurie McDaniel; one son, Peter Felsberg; one brother, Carey McDaniel; six grandchildren, Nathan and Benjamin Deem, Elizabeth Anderson, Matthew and Maryann Rowland, and Heather Kelly; and four great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one grandson, Scott Rowland; and two sisters, Irene Tanguay and Betty Sue Baker.
Memorial Services will be held at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 250 E. College Ave., State College on Monday, February 11, 2013, beginning at 1:30 PM with the Rev. Dr. G. Edwin Zeiders Jr. and Rev. Eric J. Shafer officiating. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
