Stewart D. Longacre, Jr. of Collegeville, passed away on Wednesday February 28, 2018 at Seasons Hospice in Phoenixville.

Stew “Poncho” was born on June 28, 1948 in Norristown, and was the beloved son of the late Stewart D. and Phoebe K. (nee Vuotto) Longacre, Sr. He is survived by his wife, Judy (nee Gehringer) and two brothers, James R. (Dorothy) Longacre of Philadelphia, and Kenneth C. (Margaret) Longacre of Skippack.

He loved spending time with his extended family, including four nieces and two nephews and seven great nephews and three great nieces. In addition, he is survived by many loving cousins. Stew graduated from East Carolina University and he was a longtime member of the Stony Creek Anglers.

Relatives and friends are invited to share in Stew’s Life Celebration on Tuesday March 6, from 9:30 to 10:50 AM at Boyd-Horrox-Givnish of East Norriton, 200 West Germantown Pike, 610-277-7000. His funeral service will begin at 11 AM at the funeral home. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery.
