Rodger W. Fredrick, 81, passed away September 10, 2014 at Sunrise Granite Run.

Born in East Stroudsburg, Pa, he was a long time resident of Norwood before moving to Sunrise 5 years ago.

He was a graduate of Milton Hershey School for Boys.

Rodger was a Rates and Tariffs officer for Matlack Inc. trucking company.

He was very involved with the Norwood Republicans, where he was the treasurer, as well as the Norwood Fourth of July Committee.

He had a deep interest in trains.

He served in the US Air Force during the Korean War.

Rodger is predeceased by his wife Alice (nee Clark) Fredrick.

Survivors: His children Patricia Schaffenburg (Karl Schaffenburg) and Mark Fredrick; siblings Lawrence Fredrick, Ethelwyn Wornom, and Roberta Riegel.
