Robert Joseph Black., 57 of York PA, went home to be with The Lord on Thursday August 24, 2017.

Born in Butler PA, Robert is survived by his sisters; Catherine Kovach and her husband Paul, MaryAnn Noullet and Nancy R. Black. Robert is survived by his brothers; William K. Black Jr and his wife Diane, James H. Black, Timothy E. Black and his wife Gloria and Michael C. Black and his wife Laurel. Robert also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, as well.

Robert or as he was known by his close friends; “Boogs”, truly enjoyed and dedicated his life as a teacher of special needs students at William Penn High School in York PA. Outside of the classroom, Bob enjoyed a wide variety of outdoor activities including; the beach, golf and fishing. Bob especially, savored his moments rooting on his favorite Pittsburgh sports teams.

A Memorial Service for Robert will be held on Tuesday August 29, 2017 at the Geigle Funeral Home, 2100 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg PA. 17110. Public visitation for Robert and his family will begin at 5pm, followed by a service at 6:00pm. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to the American Heart Association 1019 Mumma Road Wormleysburg, PA 17043.
