Robert E. Rife
YORK Robert E. Rife, Jr., 63, died on Friday, March 18, 2011, at his home. There will be no viewing. A visitation will be held from 12 to 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 24th at Workinger-Semmel F.H. & Crematorium, Inc., 849 E. Market St., York, with the service to follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
The Rev. Dr. E. Gordon Ross, pastor of St. John Lutheran Church in Stewartstown, will officiate with burial to follow in Mount Rose Cemetery.
Mr. Rife was born December 7, 1947, in York, the son of the late Robert E., Sr. and Evelyn M. (Ropp) Rife.
He was a professional estimator for various roofing companies and had retired after 11 years from R&R Components, Inc., a graduate of Milton Hershey H.S. Class of ’65 and also of Penn State University .
Mr. Rife is survived by two sisters, Sallie I. Rife of North York and Treva G. Ruth of York; and nine nieces and nephews.
