Robert Edmund Irvin Sr., 90, passed away April 7, 2011 at Dickson Healthcare Center after a brief illness. Born in Kennett Square, Penn., he was the son of the late Cyrus and Clara Myers Irvin. He was a 1938 graduate of Milton Hershey High School. Mr Irvin was a member of the First Baptist Church of Sanford and attended First Baptist Church of Dickson. He was a United States Navy Retiree who served his country for some 26 years. After being discharged from service he attended the University of Central Florida where he received his B.S. in Business Administration and Business Education. He graduated college in 1977. He was married to the former Floy Perkins. He was preceded in death by his Son; Dr. Robert E. (Buck) Irvin, Jr. and his Daughter; Patrice Riggall.

Survivors include his wife of 67 years; Floy Perkins Irvin of Dickson, Tn, His Daughter; Debbie Bogdan and her husband, Peter of Dickson, His Daughter in law; Gail Irvin of Duluth, Ga. His Grandchildren; Patrick Austin of Geneva, FL, Deana Suttle of Cumming, Ga, Matthew Bogdan of Nashville, Tn, Andrew Bogdan and wife, Stef of DesMoines, IO, Oliva Bogdan of Dickson, Tn, Steven Paul Irvin and wife; Ashley of Duluth, Ga, Sara Frances Irvin of Duluth, Ga. His Great Grandchildren; Parker and Sawyer Austin and Jackson Suttle., His sister; Ann Akins of Tyler, Texas and his Brother; Harold (Hap) Irvin of Boynton Beach, FL.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday 6 p.m. with Chaplain Ray Woodall officiating and Family giving his eulogy. Committal services will be conducted Tuesday morning at 11 a.m. at the Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery with full military honors.
