Richard L. Craft, 83, of Lower Burrell, died Monday, April 29, 2013. He was born July 23, 1929, in Conneaut, Ohio, to the late George Harvey Craft and Ruth (Smith) Craft. He was a graduate of the Milton Hershey School and the University of Pittsburgh.

Mr. Craft retired as a Captain from the United States Air Force in 1967 after serving his country for 20 years. After 1967, he served the Boy Scouts of America, was a drivers education instructor for Ford City High School and was a case worker for the State of Pennsylvania Unemployment Office in New Kensington for 15 years, retiring in 1990. He belonged to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Freeport Ward.

Surviving are his wife of 15 years, Elizabeth L. Jack Peters Craft; his children, Richard (Roseanne) Craft, of Utica, N.Y., Caminy Curry, of Gibsonia, and Christopher Craft, of Atlanta, Ga.; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; his sister, Shirley Hamilton, of Florida; and brothers, Fred and Harvey Craft, of Ohio.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Michael Craft; his first wife, Sherma Petersen Craft; and his sister, Lenore.

Viewing will be from 10 a.m. until services at 11 a.m. Friday in the ROSS G. WALKER FUNERAL HOME LTD., 217 Freeport Road, New Kensington, which will be presided over by Bishop George Rosenberg, of the Freeport Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
