Richard A. Furdak
Richard A. Furdak, 53, of the Town of Wheatfield, died Wednesday at home, surrounded by his loving family while under care of Niagara Hospice.
Richard was born in Clearfield, PA on October 10, 1955, the son of the late John and Anna (Seely) Furdak, where he attended local schools. He served in the US Army, in 1973. He moved to Niagara Falls, NY in the late 1970’s.
Richard was a Heavy equipment operator at Sevenson Waste Environmental and Management, Niagara Falls, NY. and had later worked for the Terry Tree Service, in Rochester, NY, prior to retiring in 2008, due to illness.
He was an exempt member of the Bergholz Fire Co. and a member of the Tri-Community Ambulance. He was a former football coach for the Babcock Boy’s and Girls Tyro Football League, in Buffalo, NY. Richard enjoyed riding his Harley, but most import was attending his daughters sporting activities.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie Banks Furdak, his three daughters, Ericka Furdak, Kaitlin Furdak and Lynn Giambelluca, Mother-in-law Elaine [ late Robert ] Banks, brother-in-law, Dean Banks, special niece, Ryanne Watson, he is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter.
The family will be present at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, SANBORN, 5893 Hoover Road on Saturday from 4 – 8 p.m., where a Memorial Service will be held at 8 PM, with Rev. Philip Sallach officiating.
