Richard “Rich” Thomas Allen , 78, of Baltic died Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at Oakpointe Nursing & Rehab. Center.

He was born October 5, 1938 in Altoona, PA to the late William A. and Mary Bernadette (Tomlinson) Allen.

He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran.

He was a member of St. Francis DeSales Catholic Church of Newcomerstown and the Knights of Columbus of Newcomerstown.

On June 12, 1965, he married Peggy M. (Durben) Allen, who passed away on March 6, 2009.

He is survived by his sister-in-law, Mary Steed of Newcomerstown.

A memorial mass will be held Friday, February 17, 2017 at 10:30 AM at St. Francis DeSales Catholic Church, Newcomerstown with Father Victor R. Wesolowski.

Burial will follow in St. Jacob’s Cemetery. Military service will be conducted by Newcomerstown Veterans Honor Guard.
