Paul William Bushman (87) of Hershey, PA died peacefully at the VA Medical Center Hospice Unit in Lebanon, PA on March 24, 2013 after a short illness. He was born to the late Louis and Myrtle Bushman in Gettysburg, PA in 1925. He attended Hershey Industrial School and graduated in 1943. Upon graduation he served in the U.S. Marine Corp during WWII and saw combat in Iwo Jima and other locations in the Pacific.

After discharge from the Marines, he was employed as an electrician for Hershey Chocolate Co. until his retirement in 1988. He was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Hershey. Paul was also a former Little League & Teener Baseball Coach.

In addition to his parents he was pre-deceased by his wife Cecelia Lawrence Bushman and brother John Bushman. Paul is survived by sons Louis Bushman (Lorrie), Paul Bushman Jr. (Donna); grandchildren Christopher Bushman (Jennifer), Janel Moyer (Michael), Louis Bushman Jr., Derek Bushman; great granddaughter Zoe Bushman; and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 1, 2013 from 9:30 – 10:30 am in the Hoover Funeral Home & Crematory, Route 422 & Lucy Avenue, Hershey. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am in the St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. Interment with military honors will be in Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Lebanon VA Medical Center Hospice Unit, 1700 S. Lincoln Avenue, Lebanon, PA 17042.
