Paul V. Weaver, Sr. passed away Saturday, July 31, 2010, in the Claremont Nursing Home, Carlisle. Mr. Weaver was born on May 7, 1928, in Middletown to the late Alma (Weaver) Beinhauer and James Weaver. Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Ramona (Pennebaker) Weaver; his two sons and daughter, Paul V. Jr. and his wife, Lynette, of Camp Hill; James Michael of York; Penny Jo Kauffman and her husband, Raymond, of York; five grandchildren, three great-granddaughters and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Paul was predeceased by his sisters, Pauline Arnold, Margaret Arnold, Jean Black and Doris Schlessman. Paul was a proud graduate of the Milton Hershey Boys School and served honorably in the U.S. Navy. He retired as a pressman from the Telegraph Press after 40 years, where he served as President of the Pressman’s Union. He was also a member of the Enola American Legion and Grantville V.F.W. Paul enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf, Indy Car Racing, the “horses”, teaching limericks to his grandchildren, and playing cards with his wife. At Paul’s request, there will be no viewing or services, his remains are donated to Science Care for medical training and research. Interment will take place privately at the convenience of the family. Published in Patriot-News on August 8, 2010
