Patrick J. “Duck” VanCise, Sr., 58, of W. Smith St., Corry, Pa., died Sunday, May 6, 2018, at Corry Memorial Hospital.

He was born April 11, 1960 in Warren, Pa., a son of the late Albert J. and Helen Purdy VanCise. Pat was raised and educated in Hershey, Pa., and graduated from Milton Hershey High School. He then attended college in Togus, Maine, and graduated from Trident Technical College in Charleston, S. C. Pat served in the U. S. Navy from May 11, 1982 until his honorable discharge March 27, 1992. He had lived in the Ladson, South Carolina area for many years until moving to the Corry area five years ago. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing pool and outdoor barbecuing.

Pat is survived by his wife, Eyvonne M. Judy VanCise, whom he married on July 1, 1989, in Richmond, Maine; two daughters, Erin Cox of Goose Creek, S.C., and Mary VanCise of Fayetteville, N. C.; a son, Patrick VanCise, Jr., of Corry, Pa; a half-brother, Dennis Miles and his wife Donna of Corry, Pa.; and two grandchildren, David Cox of South Carolina and Hailey VanCise of Fayetteville, N. C.

Family and friends may attend a Military Honor’s service on Friday with arrival time at 10:15 am for the 10:30 am service at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville, Pa. Arrangements are under the care of the Bracken Funeral Home, Inc., 315 N. Center St., Corry, Pa.
