Morton P. Christian
Christian, Morton P., 66, of Seaville passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2013 at Shore Memorial Hospital surrounded by his family and our good friend Dorothy Griffiths.
Mort was born in Ridley Park, PA to the late Theodore and Eleanor (Smith) Christian. He attended Milton Hershey School upon the death of his father and was a US Army veteran. He worked for many years in the auto industry until an illness in 1996.
Mort enjoyed traveling and experiencing all that life had to offer. He prided himself on working with his hands and his tools were prized possessions. A creature of habit, you could set a clock by his daily routine. Mort loved working on cars and spent many a weekend tinkering under the hood. He also found joy in making his house a home. He enjoyed the casino life and beach time that South Jersey offered. Casino life, with its lights and action, drew him like a magnet. Mort always lived his life to the fullest and never accepted limitations. Fun was his middle name. Where adventure was to be had, Mort was not far behind.
Mort was a member of the Tuckahoe American Legion Post 239. A generous and thoughtful man, Mort has donated his cornea, skin and bones to The Gift of Life in hopes of helping others in need.
