Kenneth L. Wilson
Kenneth L. Wilson, 77, of Huntingdon, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 20, 2018, at UPMC Altoona, Altoona, PA.
Born February 17, 1941 in Spring Run, Franklin County, he was a son of the late Ray and Alverta (Roddey) Wilson.
He was united in marriage to the former Judy H. Glasgow on June 25, 1966, at the First Evangelical United Brethren Church, Huntingdon, by the Reverend Witt. Mrs. Wilson survives at their residence.
In addition to his wife of 51 years, he is survived by two sons, Jeffrey D. Wilson of Huntingdon and Kevin L. Wilson and his wife, Shelly, of Slippery Rock; and two grandchildren, Natalie and Preston Wilson, both of Slippery Rock. He is also survived by a sister-in-law, Nancy Wilson of Mill Creek. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Wilson.
Mr. Wilson was an active member of the Twelfth Street United Methodist Church, Huntingdon. He was a life member of Huntingdon Regional Fire & Rescue and was a member of the former Huntingdon Jaycees. Mr. Wilson was educated in the Hershey Industrial School and graduated with the class of 1959. For many years, he was employed by the former Wolf’s Furniture, and their successor, Heilig-Meyers Furniture, Huntingdon. He was subsequently employed by Miller Auto Parts, Huntingdon, retiring in 2013. Mr. Wilson will be remembered by many for his diligent neighborhood community service. With his wife, he enjoyed taking bus trips to various places and attending his Hershey School alumni banquets. He also liked to hunt in his earlier years. He especially loved spending time with his family and his grandchildren.
Friends may call from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 22, 2018 and from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service on Saturday, June 23, 2018, at the John B. Brown Funeral Home, 417 Washington St., Huntingdon. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 23rd, at the funeral home, with Pastor Ann Foor officiating. Interment will be in Huntingdon Memorial Gardens, Walker Township, Huntingdon.
