Kenneth E. Rohm
Kenneth E. Rohm, 92, of Big Beaver Boro, died Friday, May 16, 2014 at Beaver Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born May 29, 1921 in Dickerson Run, he was the son of the late John S. and Alice Bollman Rohm. Ken was a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving during WWII, retired from B&W as an inspector after 42 years of service, attended the Missionary Alliance Church, Beaver Falls, and belonged to the Enon Valley R/C Model Airplane Club.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Dorothy Sumpter Rohm; a son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth B. and Mary Ann Rohm, TN; four daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce and Bob Clair, GA; JoAnn and Ralph Lonbeck, Oregon; Gloria and Rev. Darrell Knopp, North Huntington; Patricia and Gary Sallade, Beaver Falls; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Fred and Louise Rohm, Richard ‘Dick’ Rohm, and Jerry and Joy Veach; 18 grandchildren and 14 great -grandchildren, also several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Rodney E. Rohm; two brothers, Robert and Benson Rohm, and a sister, Theola Glenzen.
Friends will be received Sunday from 2 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. in the GABAUER-LUTTON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 117 Blackhawk Road, Chippewa Twp., . His son-in-law, Rev. Darrell Knopp, will officiate. Private interment will follow at Little Beaver Cemetery. Members of the Veterans Honor Guard will meet at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. to conduct full military honors at 10:50 a.m.
