John A. Stout
STOUT, John Alden a longtime resident of Erial, died January 25, 2011 at Vitas Hospice in Stratford, NJ. Born in 1929 in Ashland, Pa, John graduated from the Hershey School for Boys in 1947 and immediately enlisted in the Merchant Marines until his retirement in 1984.
John was an avid chess player and loved to tackle jigsaw puzzles. He was also a hockey fan, with a particular softspot for the Flyers and the Hershey Bears. John passes a torch of kindness and all of his sea stories to his family and friends.
He is predeceased by his wife, Florence Stout and his daughter, Madeline Stout. He is celebrated by his son and daughter-in-law, Mitchell and Svetlana Stout; daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth and Dominic Canzanese; brother, Earl Stout; daughters, Renee Wilson, Ruth Tine and Gay Moceri and his loving grandchildren, Austin Stout, Nick and MacKenzie Canzanese, Alexis, Krista and Matthew Tine and Kristin Moceri.
