Ivan V. Wicks Jr., 83, of Canadensis, passed away surrounded by his family Monday evening, May 23, 2011, at the VNA Hospice House, East Stroudsburg. Ivan was born in Lancaster, the son of the late Mr. Ivan V. Sr. and Katherine (Swinehart) Wicks. He graduated from Milton Hershey School, class of 1946, and served his country during World War II in the U.S. Army as a Rifleman First Class. Ivan earned a World War II victory metal. Upon his honorable discharge from the U.S. Army, Ivan worked as a tool and die maker, retiring in 1993 from Surf Chemical of Hackettstown, N.J.
