George D. McElheny
George D. McElheny, 92, of Harrisburg, passed away Thursday, March 22 at Colonial Park Care Center. He was born in Penbrook on August 6th, 1919 to the late Warren E. and Gretna May (Hayberger) McElheny.
He retired from UGI; was a WWII Army veteran and he was a graduate and alumni of the Milton S. Hershey School.
George is preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle V. McElheny; his daughter, Judy Ann Seibert and his brother, Warren McElheny.
Surviving are his son-in-law, John E. Seibert of Mechanicsburg; four grandchildren, Joseph Seibert, Jeffrey Seibert, Janena Ditty, Julia Engle and eight great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 27th, 2012 at twelve noon at the Hetrick-Bitner Funeral Home. The Rev. Patrick P. Wirick, Jr. will be officiating. There will be a viewing from 11 am to noon at the funeral home. Burial will be held at the Shoop’s Cemetery Association.
