Fredrick Alan Barton, 56, of Fishertown, Pa. passed away at his home on July 24, 2012. He was born in Roaring Spring, Pa the son of the late Fredrick and Catherine Barton. He is survived by his wife Karen (Beaumont) Barton of Fishertown and three children, Amanda (Barton) Potter and husband Rick of Everett, Melissa Barton of Everett, and Victor Barton of Fishertown.

Mr. Barton is also survived by the following: Grandchildren, Brianna Shipley, Ricky Potter Jr., and Brandy Potter all of Everett, Two brothers, Lewis Strait of Newport News, Va. and James Barton of Saxton along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Barton.

Fred Graduated from the Milton Hershey Military School and then received a degree in Culinary Arts. He enjoyed cooking, gardening, and spending time with family and friends. Fred worked in the Culinary arts field for 35 years.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 27, 2012 at 11 AM at the Curtis A. Heath Funeral Home Inc. 5010 Railroad Ave, Broad Top City, Pa. 16621 with pastor Ron Forrester officiating. Friends are invited to call on Friday from 9-11 AM at the Funeral Home.

In Lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial contributions for Fred be made to the Curtis A. Heath Funeral Home Inc. P.O. Box 214 Broad Top City, Pa. 16621 to assist them with final expenses. Arrangements are under the direction of the Curtis A. Heath Funeral Home Inc. of Broad Top City, PA. 16621.
