Francis M. Mowery
Francis M. “Frank” Mowery, Jr., 70 of Pequea, passed away at his brother Walter’s home Friday evening, April 17, 2015. Born in Lancaster on February 13, 1945, he was the son of the late Francis M. and Mabel Riley Mowery.
Frank graduated from Milton Hershey in 1963. He was an auto mechanic for several years for JCPenney, worked for Carter Lumber and retired from maintenance at the Old Strasburg Inn. He was a quiet man, but could agitate many. He was a very handy guy and enjoyed woodworking, carpentry, gardening, and watching birds.
Frank is survived by his brothers, Walter L., husband of Dawn Pringle Mowery of Lancaster and Bruce Scheaffer of Arizona; sisters, Doris wife of Frederick Shultz of Temple, Ann Rinier of Millersville, Sandra wife of Joseph Mastriania of Lancaster and June wife of Randy Hibshman of Ephrata. He also leaves behind his good friends, Chris and Junior. He was preceded in death by brothers, Albert Walls and Larry Mowery.
