Elmer K. Nelson
Elmer K. Nelson, 62, of Mount Joy passed away on Monday, August 30, 2010 at home.
He and his wife, Donna M. Leed Nelson, celebrated 41 years of marriage on August 16th.
Elmer worked for the Sheet Metal Workers Union throughout Pennsylvania. Previously, he was employed by the Farfield Co., Lititz.
Elmer served in the U.S. Marines and was a member of the American Legion, Post 185, the VFW, Post 5752, and was an F&AM of Ashara-Casiphia Lodge No. 551, all of Mount Joy.
He was a 1966 graduate of Milton Hershey High School. Elmer enjoyed people, socializing, and playing golf with his friends.
Born in Newaygo, Michigan, he was the son of the late Alve G. and Helen L. Shively Nelson.
In addition to his wife, Donna, he will be missed by his two sons, Keith married to Jeannie Tomlinson Nelson, Mount Joy and Matthew married to Heidi Witman Nelson, Middletown; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Brady, and Hailey; his sister, Helen married to Gene Morelli, SC; and his brother, Robert Nelson, Palmyra. A brother, Alve Nelson, preceded him in death.
