Donald A. McClellan
Donald A. McClellan Sr., 82, of 26453 Cottontail Cove, Millsboro, DE, died Thursday, October 8, 2009 at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Chester, PA, he was the son of the late Harry and Marian Grennough McClellan. He was the husband of Virginia Cook McClellan. They were married for 23 years. He was a graduate of the Milton S. Hershey School. He worked for U.S. Air in the ticket and claims department at the Philadelphia International Airport. He was a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church and the National Rifle Association.
Besides his wife, he is survived by sons, Donald Allen McClellan husband of Josephine V. of Aston, PA, Edward M. McClellan husband of Kathy of Middletown Township, PA; daughters, Sharon A. Shockley of Brookhaven, PA, Diane B. wife of Robert Batdorf of Owensville, IN, Cheryl Gundrum of Clayton, DE, Lisa McClellan of Lancaster; fourteen grandchildren and three step-children. He was last of his immediate family.
The funeral will be held Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 653 Meeting House Road, New Holland, PA 17557. Friends may call Wednesday 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the church. Interment will be in Zeltenreich U.C.C. Cemetery. Please omit flowers; contributions in his name may be made to Friendship Missionary Baptist Church at the above address.
