Dennis D. Runk
Dennis Dwight Runk, 73, of Lock Haven, passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2016, at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center.
Born on June 30, 1942, in Everett, he was son of the late Sheldon Raymond Runk and Mabel Pepple Runk Wallace. Denny graduated from Milton Hershey School for Boys in 1960, where he was a member of their famous Glee Club.
He was employed as a truck driver, retiring from Milton Transportation. Denny was a member of the Northeast Panfish League. He enjoyed fishing with his family and buddies as well as NASCAR.
Denny had a large family consisting of many children and step-children. In his eyes, though, none of his children were considered step-children.
Surviving are his children, Michael J. (Michelle) Johnson, Sr. of Loganton, William C. (Cynthia) Johnson of Spartanburg, S.C., Katherine A. (Gene) Knarr of Chesnee, S.C., Jon Sheldon Emerick, Holly Jo Emerick, and Boise “Bo” Miller of Lock Haven; a sister, Gale Diane (Charles) McCormick of Hesston; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and his girlfriend, Ginny Miller of Lock Haven.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Paul W. Wallace; two sisters, Judith Ann Runk and Paula Ann Wallace Donelson; and his beloved nephew, Charles Michael McCormick.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Moriarty Funeral Home & Crematory, 112 E. Church St., Lock Haven.
