David Alan Leiss of Harrisburg, PA entered into eternal rest on March 31, 2014 at the Hershey Medical Center. He was born on September 26, 1961 in Lebanon, PA and was the son of Shelby Norton Leiss and the late Donald Robert Leiss. David was a Graduate of Milton Hershey School class of 1979 and was previously employed as a registered nurse in the Health Care Industry. He received his Associates degree from Millersville University and his nursing degree from St. Joseph’s School of Nursing in Lancaster. His hobbies included camping, cooking and enjoyed playing the video game World of War Craft. He had a quick wit and enjoyed laughing with friends. In addition to his father Donald, he was preceded in death by his brothers Scott M. Leiss and Dale R. Leiss. In addition to his mother, Shelby, he is survived by his husband William T. Kennedy IV of Harrisburg; a daughter Erin Leiss of Lebanon; two sons Adam D. Leiss of Woodstock, NY, and Nicholas P. Leiss of Beacon, NY, ; his sister Jody L. Leed of Lebanon; brother Todd A. Leiss (Donna Beard) of Middletown; four grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services for David will be held at Garden Chapel 468 Edinburgh Rd. Middletown, PA, on Friday, April 4, 2014 at 2 PM with Pastor Jon Shiery officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the Matinchek and Daughter Funeral Home, 260 East Main St. Middletown, PA 17057 to help defray expenses associated with the funeral services.
