Clayton Frederick Spengler, 80, of Shillington died June 26, 2012, at 5:28 p.m. in his residence. He was the husband of Mary Catherine (McDonough) Spengler. They celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary in March. Born in Kingston, Luzerne County, PA, he was a son of the late Clayton Arthur and Ida Irene (Miller) Spengler.

He was the president of Reading Foundry & Supply Co., Reading, for 28 years, retiring in 2001. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He enjoyed motorcycle rides, skiing when younger and his business. His true passion was his family.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his sons, Ryck D., husband of Karyn Spengler, Wyomissing, and Kerry C. Spengler, companion of Catherine DeMille, St. Lawrence; a sister, Nancy Weiler, Harrisburg; and three grandchildren: Ryan P. Spengler, Kyle M. Spengler and Zachary C. Spengler.

Celebration of Life service from Klee Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 1 East Lancaster Ave., Shillington on Friday at 1 p.m. Chaplain MaryAnn Hamm, M. Div. will officiate. Interment with military honors in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Twp. Visitation Friday 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
