Chloe N. Mellott
Chloe Noel Mellott left this world on November 26, 2008, following a four year battle with osteosarcoma. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that Chloe had touched in some way throughout her short, yet very memorable life.
Chloe possessed strength, perseverance, and an ability to overcome incredible odds and physical challenges. With her courage she led us to believe that each day is a blessing and an opportunity to create lasting memories.
She enjoyed music, sleeping late, and hanging out with her friends. She loved the colors red and silver, listening to her favorite musical group Paramore and playing with her new Siamese kitten, Mulan.
Chloe is survived by her mother Sara Mellott of Middletown; maternal grandparents, Ron and Stephanie Mellott of Harrisburg; Aunts Melissa (Mellott) Thompson of Finksburg, MD; Jessie Mellott-Crowl of Mount Joy; Uncle Seth R. Mellott (USAF) Osan, Korea; nieces, Amelia Thompson, Kayla and Hailey Mellott; nephews, Connor Thompson and Nathan Crowl; paternal great-grandmother, Betty Paull of Enhaut; maternal great-grandparents, Tim and Clara Kelly of New Cumberland, and Elmer and Hazel Radabaugh of Oscala, Florida, and many aunts and uncles and cousins.
Chloe also leaves behind her other family at Milton Hershey School and the many wonderful caregivers that provided love and support that enhanced her quality of life. There is a special place in our hearts for the staff of Penn State Childrens Hospital in Hershey who cared for Chloe for the past 4 years through all of her numerous surgeries and treatments and also the care and compassion that they extended to her family members during her final days in 7 West. All of these special people, too numerous to mention, provided Chloe with love and dignity in her life and also in her death.
