Charles T. Weakley
Charles T Weakley, 91, of Lancaster, formerly of Colonial Park, Harrisburg, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 3, 2013, at Willow Valley Communities.
Ted was born in Mt Vernon, NY on April 2, 1922, the son of the late Charles Theo & Maude J (Fies) Weakley.
He is preceded in death by his wife Marion M. Weakley. Ted was a WWII U.S. Navy veteran in the Mediterranean Theater. He was a proud alumni of Milton Hershey School (HIS – x’40) & graduated from Steelton H.S. ’41. After the war he attended & graduated from Benjamin Franklin University, Wash. D.C. He worked for the State Department in Wash. D.C. – 37 yrs. & Pa State L&I – 10 yrs. He was a member of Progress Immanuel Presbyterian Church, Harrisburg.
Ted is survived by his 2 sons, Charles “Ted” Weakley, III & his wife Jane, &David A. Weakley & his wife Toni, all of Harrisburg; his daughter Cheri M. Weakley & her husband Lou Caperoon of Willow Street, Pa., 4 grandsons & 1 great-grandson.
Funeral services will be held at 11am Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at Hetrick-Bitner Funeral Home, 3125 Walnut St. Harrisburg, PA 17109. Viewing will be held from 10am until time of services. Burial with full Military Honors will be at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Harrisburg.
