Andrew S. Moore, 93, Martinsburg, passed away early Sunday morning at Altoona Regional Health System, Altoona Hospital Campus.

He was born in Altoona, son of the late Sylvester and Louisa May Moore. He married Jeanette M. (Meckley) Moore on June 30, 1950. She passed away on April 7, 1968. Andrew had no children, but is survived by many nieces and nephews. Three special nieces are: Joan Gossman and her husband, Larry, in Arizona; Judy Johnson and her husband, Gunner, in Florida; and Amy Clouse and her husband, Mark, of Martinsburg.

He was preceded in death by three sisters: Pearl, Bernice and Dora; and three brothers: John, Robert and Joseph. He was the last member of his immediate family.

Andy graduated from Hershey Industrial School, now known as Milton Hershey School, in 1937.He worked as a printer for the Altoona Tribune, then moved to Scranton where he worked as a printer for the Scranton Tribune until he retired on Dec. 31, 1981.

Andy enjoyed golfing, bowling and being outdoors. He also enjoyed Mark and Amy’s dog, Ginger.
