William “Pop” Price

William D. “Pop” Price, 96, of Hershey, passed away on March 15, 2020 at Columbia Cottage in Palmyra.

He was born March 9, 1924 in Hamburg, PA, son of the late Paul F. and Minnie M. (Smith) Price.

Bill was a 1942 graduate of the Milton Hershey School and served in the Air Force during World War II. He and his late wife, Betty, were houseparents at the Milton Hershey School for 24 years. He also briefly managed the Hershey Bakery and enjoyed working at the HersheyPark Arena, Giant Center, and Pronio’s Market.

Surviving is his daughter, Cynthia (Dennis) Dupler of York Haven; son, Joel Price of Hershey; grandsons, Seth Dupler, Adam (Ellie) Dupler, Garrett Price (Holly Mcintosh) and Logan Price (fiancé, Courtne Barnhart).

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty June Price; his son, Dean William Price; his brothers, Luke, Leroy and David.

Services were private at the Hoover Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. in Hershey with private interment being in Schuylkill Memorial Park in Schuylkill Haven.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial contributions be made to Grane Hospice, 1200 Camp Hill Bypass, Camp Hill PA 17011.
