Walter “Buddy” L. Hall

Walter L. “Buddy” Hall ’55, 86, passed away on Thursday, August 22, 2024. He was the husband of the late Margaret Hall.

Walter Lewis “Buddy” Hall, a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on Thursday, August 22, 2024 in Media, Pennsylvania. Born to Earle and Myrtle Hall on January 11, 1938, Walt spent his life in faith and love with his Lord and those around him.

Walt attended and graduated from Milton Hershey School in Hershey, Pennsylvania, and shortly thereafter entered the U.S. Army. In October 1957, Walt married his sweetheart, Margaret Siegle, in a ceremony at Trinity United Methodist Church in Chester, Pennsylvania. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and the joyous hustle and bustle of raising their two daughters, Susan Prince and Shirl (Brian) Phillips.

Walt’s legacy is also carried on by his adored grandchildren, Crystal and Jessica. Each of them will remember their grandfather for his boundless energy, the silly games he played with them, and the love he shared as they grew into young women.

Walt enjoyed bowling and participated in many bowling leagues. An avid tennis player in his earlier years, he later enjoyed table tennis and won many medals in senior games. He was an Eagles fan and shared his love of the sport with his daughters.

Predeceased by his parents, his sisters Libby, Anne, Mary, and Louise, and his loving wife of 62 years, Margaret, Walt’s memory is honored and kept alive by his children, his cherished grandchildren, his great-granddaughter Raven, his sister Earlene, and a host of nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his companion of several years, Michelle Manzi.

Walter Hall’s story is one of dedication, love, and an unwavering commitment to his family, church, and friends. He will be deeply missed, but the seeds he planted in the hearts of those who knew him will continue to grow and flourish for generations to come.
