Samuel B. Smith ’45, 94, passed away on Sunday, February 13, 2022. He was the husband of Donna Smith.

Samuel B. “Smitty” Smith, 94, passed away Sunday, Feb 13, 2022. He was born on December 6, 1927, the son of Samuel Raymond and Nora Catherine (Wilbur) Smith in Altoona, Pennsylvania.

Smitty was a 1945 graduate of Hershey Industrial school. He was a Proud Veteran of World War II serving in the United States Army and Served in the Army as a Military Policeman. Married Donna Crider Aug 28, 1954. Worked in sales. Coached men’s softball for many years. He was a member of Glorida Dei Lutheran Church, Leesburg, Florida.

He is survived by his wife Donna (Crider) Smith, daughters Jolinda and Wendy, grandson Matt, three great-grandchildren, Cali, Maverick, and Fletcher.

He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, three sisters and a beloved son Bouncer.

A Visitation will be held on Friday, March 4, 2022 from 7:00PM to 8:00PM at Page-Theus Funeral Home, Leesburg, Florida. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at 11:00AM with Graveside Services following the Funeral at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Leesburg, Florida with Military Honors.
