Rodney Holland
Rodney R. Holland, 47, of Hummelstown, was welcomed into the loving arms of Jesus with his devoted wife by his side after a hard-fought battle with HLH, on Saturday, September 25, 2021, at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, MA. Born in Lancaster on March 2, 1974, he was the son of Wanda J. Hackman of Mount Joy and Keith R. Holland (Christy Zeller Holland) of Dunedin, FL. Rodney owned Keystone Independent Associates where he worked as an independent financial advisor. He enjoyed making personal connections with his clients and was honored to serve them. He was a proud 1992 graduate of Milton Hershey School. Rodney was a man of faith and loved the Lord. He gladly helped everyone and anyone. Rod’s greatest legacy will always be his three amazing children. He loved family game nights, watching Mary Poppins, The Wizard of Oz, Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy and anything funny. He took great pride in the elaborate meals he prepared for his family. One of his favorite things to do was cheer on his kids and their friends at sporting events.
Rod’s sense of humor, dad jokes and laughter lit up the room. Other favorite activities included golf, being a Buffalo Bills fan, setting off spectacular fireworks displays, going to the cabin and hunting with his children. Rod’s high five’s, fist bumps and big hugs will be missed. In addition to his parents, Rodney is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Melissa A Boylan Holland, whom he married on October 30, 1999; three children, Brenna K, Kyler D. and Brynlee A Holland; three sisters, Stacy L. Holland of Elizabethtown, Jamie L. Gambino significant other of Brandon Forry of Manheim, and Sheri J. Akounou wife of Mouhamed of Harrisburg; grandparents, Kenneth and Marian Baker Hackman of Palmyra, Delmay Linebaugh Holland of Campbelltown, and Richard Holland of Hernando Beach South, FL,; members of Melissa’s side of the family including Ira and Jacqueline Espenshade, Charles Boylan, David and Gerry Myers, Kent and Debra Myers, Patrick Boylan Sr., Patrick Boylan Jr., Jennifer (Brian) Crabtree, Elizabeth (Tony) Bushman, Shannon Inners, Lindsey (Andy) Underkoffler, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his cousin, Bradley Fortney, and Melissa’s grandmother, Teresa Boylan.
