Robert A. Schaeffer

Robert A. Schaeffer, 81, of Hershey, passed away on June 3, 2020 in the Gardens of Easton. He was born August 3, 1938 in Reading, the son of the late George J. and Nellie E. (Diehm) Schaeffer.

Robert was a 1956 graduate of the Milton Hershey School, served in the Merchant Marines and retired from the H.B. Reese Candy Company. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He enjoyed hunting, golfing and collecting coins.

Surviving are his sons, William Paul Schaeffer of Hummelstown, Wayne Thomas Schaeffer of Hershey and Wade Carl Schaeffer of Cleona; his daughter, Wendy Lee Rizo-Patron of Conestoga; 13 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marilis (DeLong) Schaeffer and his great grandson, Milo Schaeffer.
