Richard “Dick” L. Norrie

Richard “Dick” L. Norrie ’57, 84, passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2023 at UPMC West Shore. He was the husband of Judy Norrie. 

Richard L. “Dick” Norrie, 84, passed away December 31, 2023, at UPMC West Shore in Mechanicsburg, PA. Dick was born February 24, 1939, in Carlisle, PA to Jennie (Zeigler) and John “Jack” Norrie and graduated from Milton Hershey School before serving in the Army and sailing with the Merchant Marines.

Dick is survived by wife, Judy (Clymans) and children Brian and Craig; brother Jack of Sun City Center, FL and grandchildren Skyler and Richard as well as numerous nieces and a nephew. He is preceded in death by brother Galan Adams of Gettysburg and sister Barbara Corl of Ralston.

After a brief career in insurance, Dick and Judy started their own business offering design and installation of commercial fire suppression systems; however, Dick will best be remembered for his relentless and more-often-than-not successful pursuit of the Pennsylvania Whitetail and his countless hours of service to local youth sport organizations particularly youth baseball. In his free time, no greater joy could be found then spending time in Lycoming County where Dick maintained a cabin and private hunting grounds.
