Reynold Waltimyer

Reynold E. “Wally” Waltimyer, 83, of Mt, Holly Springs, PA, passed away at Holy Spirit Hospital in Camp Hill on Friday, January 7, 2022. He was born July 4, 1938, in Red Lion to the late Kenneth and Evelyn (Leiphart) Waltimyer. Wally graduated from the Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA and went on to attend and graduate from Nyack Missionary College in Nyack, NY. From a young age, Wally worked under his father Kenneth building houses and was a carpenter by trade. He was ordained a minister by the Christian Missionary Alliance and pastored Alliance churches in Shoreview, MN, Swanville, MN, Lock Haven, PA and Moosic, PA. Later in life, Wally did flooring installation.

He loved singing and Bible Study and enjoyed coffee shops, western movies, hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, and bicycling. Wally was known for his kindness toward others and like to meet and chat with people and share his Christian faith. Wally will always be remembered as giving, forgiving, unselfish, meticulous, and persevering in any work.

Wally is survived by his wife Christine B. “Chris” (Bayne) Waltimyer; daughter Beth Colpetzer and her husband Steven of Carlisle; granddaughters Rachel, Rebecca, Gabrielle and Caitlin Colpetzer and sister Mary Ellen McKinley of York.
In addition to his late parents, Wally was preceded in death by brothers Dean, George and Lamar Waltimyer and grandson Jacob Colpetzer.
