Paul Harnish Jr.

Paul Calvin Harnish, Jr., 91, of Hershey, PA, died Saturday, April 9, 2022 at Country Meadows Retirement Home, Hershey.

He was the husband of the late Loretta F. (Fogelman) Harnish, who died in 2006. Born in Robesonia, PA on October 4, 1930, Paul was the son of the late Paul Calvin Harnish, Sr. and Laura (Graeff) Harnish. A 1948 Graduate of Milton Hershey Industrial School, he continued his education with Penn State University, Temple University, and University of Pittsburgh, earning a Bachelor’s Degree. Mr. Harnish served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. Paul retired from teaching, after 24 years, from Lebanon Vo. Tech.

He was a member of Tulpehocken Trinity (formerly Tulpehocken U.C.C), Richland, Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Richland American Legion Post# 880, and Williamson Lodge #307, Womelsdorf. Paul was an avid Phillies and Penn State fan who enjoyed watching & playing baseball, and saw sharpening for local people. He and his wife, Loretta also enjoyed camping and fishing at Raystown Lake. 

Paul is survived by, two daughters, Cynthia, wife of Butch Neidlinger and Peggy Leatherman; 4 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and 2 nieces. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Mildred Kline & Annabelle Johnson; and a nephew, Erik Johnson.
