Malcolm D. Symmonds

Malcolm D. Symmonds, 97, of Lancaster, passed away on Monday, September 24, 2018 at Hospice and Community Care, Mount Joy. He was the husband of the late Mary E. Symmonds. He was born in Bellefonte and worked as a lineman for IBEW Local Union 126, Norristown for more than 25 years. He was a member of St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, and was a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving during WWII.

He is survived by two sons: Robert (Kathleen) Symmonds, Sewell, NJ; and James (Barbara) Symmonds, Columbia. Two grandchildren: Michael and Kimberly. Seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, 2427 Marietta Avenue, Lancaster, on Friday, September 28, 2018 at 11:30 A.M. with Rev. Peter I. Hahn, Celebrant. Final Commendation and Farewell will be in Riverview Burial Park with Full Military Honors. Viewing will be at the church from 10:30 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. Please omit flowers.
