Louis J. Rucci ’70, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away on Jan. 22, 2025.


Louis Rucci passed away peacefully on January 22, 2025, in Jacksonville, Fl, where he had lived with his wife, Linda, for 30 years. He was a loyal husband, father, and grandfather.
 
Born in Philadelphia, PA, Louis spent his early years there before attending Milton Hershey School. After graduating high school, he joined the U.S. Navy, dedicating 20 years of service to his country. Before retiring as a
CPO (chief petty officer), he worked in many ports and on many ships, specializing in computers.
 
His Navy career took him all over the world. After retirement from the USN, Louis transitioned to a successful career working with computers for various companies, ending las but not least with Citi. His keen mind for technology and problem-solving shaped his professional life long after his military service.
 
In his free time, he found joy in photography, woodworking, and gardening, particularly growing spicy peppers, which he cultivated with great care and pride.
 
He is survived by wife, Linda; son, Tony, Tony; daughter-in-law, Cami; granddaughters, Aubree and Alaina; son, Chris and grandson, Emery and Ezekiel; daughter, Wend and son-in-law, Thomas.
 
Louis led a life shaped by service, work and personal passions, and he will be remembered in many different ways by those who knew him.
