Kenny McCurdy

Kenny McCurdy, Sr., age 58 of Marion, passed away Thursday September 23, 2021. Kenny was born May 15, 1963 in Marion, the son of Darwin and Phyllis Joan (Carnell) McCurdy. He graduated from the Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA in the class of 1981.

On April 2, 1982 he was united in marriage to Janet Smith. Kenny worked hard to provide for his family, serving as a press operator at Whirlpool. He was an avid collector of antiques and was also a beekeeper. He enjoyed cheering on the Pittsburg Steelers, listening to classic rock and roll, and loved cars. Kenny had an incredible sense of humor that left everyone laughing all of the time, but above all Kenny was a family man and was a devoted husband, dad, grandpa and brother.

He is survived by his children: Kenny (Kathy) McCurdy Jr., Delmer (Stephanie) McCurdy, Autumn (John Clark) McCurdy and Tequila Mannaring; grandchildren: Zackary, Austin, Luna, and Leah McCurdy, Trinity Clark, and Michael Mannaring, Jr.; and siblings: William “Bill” McCurdy, Dean McCurdy and Kay Freshwater.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 37 years, Janet McCurdy; and grandson Aaden Mannaring.
