K. James “Jim” Konevitch

K. James “Jim” Konevitch ’65, 72, passed away on Sunday, December 8, 2019 at UPMC Osteopathic Hospital. He was the husband of Brenda Konevitch.

Karl “Jim” Konevitch, 72, of Middletown entered into eternal rest on December 8, 2019 at UPMC Osteopathic Hospital. He was born on August 2, 1947 in Middletown to the late Stephen and Kristine (Mengas) Konevitch. Jim was a 1965 graduate of Milton Hershey High School. He went to Lock Haven University where he graduated in 1969 and he also attended Penn State University. He worked as an assistant manager of investment programs for the State Treasury Department. Jim worked at Warwick High School in Lititz for 25 years. During his time at Warwick High he coached multiple sports for 20 years. Jim was a former Past Master of Masonic Lodge 666, Hershey. He was a Dauphin County Democratic Chair. In addition to his parents Jim was preceded in death by four siblings. Jim is survived by his wife of 44 years, Brenda (Helsley); three sisters; two brothers; multiple nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Carlisle Alliance Church, 237 E North St. Carlisle, PA 17013 with Susan Scott officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Jim’s name to Pancreatic Cancer Surgical Research Fund, Jefferson Hospital, 130 South 9th Street suite 1700, Philadelphia, PA 19107.
