Joseph V. Fry

Joseph V. Fry ’48, 85, passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at his home. He was the husband of the late Nedra L. (Sponaugle) Fry.

Joseph V. Fry, 85, of Emmaus, died in his home on Tuesday, May 12, 2015. His wife, Nedra L. (Sponaugle) Fry, died on January 23, 2008. Born in Altoona, PA, he was the son of the late Vaughn and Esther Fry. He was a Naval Veteran serving during the Korean War. Joe was an engineer for Kraft Foods, retiring as project engineer after more than 40 years of service. He enjoyed all sports and had the opportunity to be a referee for high school football and coached softball for EYA. Joe was an avid golfer and had a special fondness for his canine friends. Survivors: Children, Vaughn R. Fry and his wife Maria of Emmaus, Karey A. Roberts of Bethlehem, Mitchell R. Fry of Emmaus, Melissa L. Tiefenbach and her husband Peter of Hollywood, FL and Kyle Fry of Emmaus; Grandchildren, Arden, Lauren, Teal, Brooke, Kellen, Ian and Kayley; and Great-Grandchildren, Shane and Ryder. Services: Memorial 4 p.m. Sunday, May 17, 2015 at Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 225 Elm Street, Emmaus. A visitation will be held from 3 to 4 p.m. on Sunday in the funeral home.
