John T. Shappell

John T. Shappell ’63, of Etters, Pennsylvania, passed away on Feb. 15, 2025.

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of John Thomas (Tom) Shappell, 80, on February 15, 2025. Tom has gone on to be with his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Kathryn (Sheeder) Shappell; son, Craig (Cindy) Shappell of Etters, PA; daughter, Deanne (John) Leathers of Dover, PA; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Tom chose to donate his body to science. A memorial service will be held for him at Christian Life Assembly, 2645 Lisburn Rd, Camp Hill, PA on March 8, 2025. Use the West Entrance, enter through the Main Concourse doors, Room – The Plaza. Visitation will be at 2:00 pm and the service will begin at 3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to either Christian Light School, Inc., PO Box 8732, Jacksonville, FL 32229 or Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Blvd, Staten Island, NY 10306.
