John Fisher

John Worth Fisher,  78, of Riley Township, passed away on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital. He was born in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania on March 30, 1944, son of the late Worth and Margarite (Shanno) Fisher. 
John Worth Fisher married Shirley Ann Suwalkowski on January 7, 1985, in Alexandria, Virginia.

John was a 26-year Army retiree. He retired as an Army Sergeant-Major. He grew up at the Hersey School for Boys in Hershey Pennsylvania. He lived a life full of normal, exciting, and sometimes dramatic events, giving him and Shirley many exciting and fulfilling memories. He will be extremely missed and will be an exciting addition to the Almighty Father.

Surviving in addition to Shirley, his loving wife of 37 years are his two children, Shawn Fisher of Glen Allen, Virginia and Debra (Jim) Fritch of Aviston, Illinois; grandchildren, Jack Fisher, Tyler Fritch, and Justin Fritch; brother-in-law, John Baird; sisters-in-law, Marlene (Roger) Haviland and Ruth Suwalkowski; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Anne Baird and Mary Shumann; and brother-in-law, Ted Sulkowski.

Interment with military honors will take place at Arlington National Cemetery.
