Jacob L. Detrie

Jacob L. Detrie ’61, 81, passed away on Monday, February 5, 2024 at UMPC Presbyterian Hospital. He was the husband of Carol Detrie. 

Jacob L. Detrie, 81, of Butler, passed away at UMPC Presbyterian Hospital on Monday, Feb. 5, 2024.

He was born on Feb. 2, 1943, in Venango Township to the late Levi Detrie and Ellen (Mahood) Detrie.

He is survived by his wife, Carol E. Michael Detrie, whom he married in May of 1980; two sons, John (Heidi) Detrie and Leroy (Sandy) Detrie; four grandchildren, Nicole Smith, Samuel Detrie, Brenden Detrie and Caitlyn Detrie; as well as by numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his half brother, Francis Detrie.

DETRIE – A visitation for Jacob L. Detrie, who died Monday, Feb. 5, 2024, was held from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St., Butler. A military service with full honors was held at 4 p.m. at the funeral home followed by a funeral service with Pastor David Maitland officiating.

Burial will be in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
