Harry J. Young ’44, 93, passed away on Friday, January 10, 2020 at his home. He was the husband of the late Anne Young.
Harry J. Young, 93, of East Windsor, NJ, passed away at home on Friday, January 10, 2020.
Harry was born in Upper Darby, PA, to the late Helen and Harry Young. He was a graduate of the Milton Hershey School and a veteran who proudly served his country in World War II as a Communications Specialist stationed in Hawaii. For many years, Harry was employed as a civil engineer for A.W. Martin & Associates in King of Prussia, PA.
He was an enthusiastic golfer, an avid fan of all the Philadelphia sports teams and a true martini aficionado.
He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Anne T. Young; his son and daughter-in-law, Neil and Donna Young; his daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Michael Conk; his 5 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; his sister, Mary Whyte of California; and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his daughter, Maureen Young; his brother, Alfred Young; and his sister, Dolores Bradley.
A Memorial Gathering for family and friends will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2020, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the A.S. Cole Son & Co. Funeral Home, 22 North Main Street, Cranbury, NJ. Memorial Services will begin at 12:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
