Glenn Stoudt
Glenn J. Stoudt, 88, of Myerstown, died Saturday, May 15, 2021, at the VA Medical Center, Lebanon.
He was the husband of Barbara A. (Manzanares) Stoudt, to whom he would have been married 66 years on July 9, 2021.
Born in Shartlesville, on November 30, 1932, he was a son of the late Joseph and Salome B. (Nye) Stoudt.
A 1950 Graduate of Milton Hershey School, formerly Hershey Industrial School, Glenn served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. When he was honorably discharged, he signed with the Cincinnati Reds farm team in 1956, and later reenlisted into the U.S. Air Force.
Glenn worked as a maintenance mechanic at Whitmoyer Laboratories in Myerstown, until they went out of business. He later worked for the Lebanon Housing Authority, of which he retired from.
Glenn was a member of Mary Gate of Heaven Catholic Church, Richland American Legion Post 880, Myerstown VFW Post 6076, and the Goodwill Fire Co., Myerstown. He was a sports enthusiast who enjoyed golfing, bowling, and baseball. As the good family man that he was, Glenn especially enjoyed time traveling with his wife to Colorado and upstate New York to visit family.
In addition to his wife, Glenn is survived by daughters, Donna, wife of Philip Dowling, of Golden, CO, Patricia, wife of John Hammett, of Centennial, CO, Jayne, wife of Mark Naumann, of Wernersville; sons, John Stoudt, husband of Cheryl, of Richland, Glenn “Joe” Stoudt, of Casper, WY, James Stoudt, husband of Paige, of Golden, CO; 10 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Daniel N. Stoudt; sisters, Dorothy Ernest, Elsie Fister, and Betty Stoudt.
